She spent her first year working in practice in the Lake

of Senior House Officer in Oral Surgery at Exeter where
she met David Pagliero and his wife Sharon. After a year
of surgery, she discovered that she and Sharon shared a
dream of building and running the perfect practice. She
then worked towards obtaining a Diploma in general Dental
Practice from the Royal College of Surgeons to facilitate
this. She spent a year in New Zealand learning modern techniques
in cosmetic dentistry before returning to the UK to work
in Honiton for 3 years with Sharon prior to opening Smile.
She has continued with her post graduate training and obtained
a Diploma in Dental Studies from the University of Bristol
specifically for Endodontics, Conscious Sedation and Periodontal
disease.

Dr Sharon

she enrolled on an optional vocational training programme
in a busy independent dental practice in Kent, where she
continued post graduate study and gained great experience
in sedation, surgery and restorative work. She then moved
to Essex to work in a new private practice in a market town,
again focusing on furthering her sedation experience and
restorative, crown and bridge work.
Having met her husband to be, she moved to Devon to settle
for good in 1995. There she joined an established private
practice in Honiton and it’s sister practice in Exeter
city centre, where she spent 7 years building a reputation
for gentle, caring dentistry, again with a focus on putting
nervous patients at ease, practicing all types of sedation
techniques, and carrying out all aspects of advanced and
routine restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She built a
loyal list of dedicated patients – many of whom have
followed her and continue to see her today at Smile!
In 1997 she met Joanna and after working together in practice
a few years later, they discovered they shared similar ideals
and a dream of building a perfect practice of their own.
From there, plans for Smile took shape and together they
worked towards having the Best Dental Practice in Devon.
Sharon entered the practice into two national competitions
in 2003 where we were awarded both ‘Best Practice
Environment’ and ‘Private Practice of the Year
2003’.
Sharon has over 15 years experience in the field of dental sedation
and has helped many anxious patients receive dental treatment
and transformed their smiles.
In 2003 she qualified to perform Restylane dermal filler
injection techniques for reduction of fine lines and wrinkles.
